The Hawthorne strainer is the single most-used tool on any cocktail station, and a weak one shows itself immediately — springs that gap, a coil that snags ice, a handle that slips mid-pour. LARBO builds this strainer for bartenders who strain hundreds of drinks a night.

At its core is a tightly wound 100-coil spring that seats snugly against the inside of any standard tin, holding back ice, pulp and seeds while letting liquid flow cleanly. The mirror-polished 304 stainless steel body will not rust, pit or corrode, and the soft finger rest keeps your hand steady through a full service. Measuring 16.6 x 9.8 cm and weighing just 100 g, it disappears into your hand until you need it.

Spring & Filtration Design

The strainer’s performance comes down to the spring. Ours is wound from food-grade stainless wire at 100 turns, so it flexes to fit tins of slightly different diameters instead of leaving a gap at the rim. The result is a clean strain — no ice chips, seeds or citrus pulp in the finished drink.

Because the coil is removable, it is also the easiest part of the tool to deep-clean. Rinse it under hot water, run it through the dishwasher, or replace it entirely without buying a new strainer.

Material & Finish

The body and spring are both 304 stainless steel — the same food-grade alloy used across our cocktail line. The mirror polish is more than cosmetic: a smooth surface leaves no micro-pits where bacteria or citrus acid can collect, which keeps the tool hygienic and easy to sanitize between shifts.
