LARBO is a BSCI-audited cocktail shaker manufacturer based in Yongkang, Zhejiang — China’s stainless steel manufacturing hub. Since 2007, we have produced millions of shakers for bars, hotels, retailers, and distributors across 56+ countries. From standard 3-piece cobbler shakers to fully custom OEM/ODM designs, every product ships with in-house quality inspection and factory-direct pricing.

Our Factory & Production Capabilities

Manufacturing Scale

Our 8,000 sqm facility in Lianzhi Village, Huajie Town, houses 12 dedicated production lines for cocktail shakers and bar tools. Annual output exceeds 2 million units, supported by a workforce of 150+ skilled workers operating in two shifts during peak seasons (May–October). This capacity allows us to handle orders from 500-piece trial runs to 50,000-piece container loads with consistent lead times.

Raw Material Control

We source 304-grade stainless steel directly from certified Chinese mills (Baosteel, TISCO), with full mill test certificates (MTC) provided for every batch. Each coil undergoes incoming inspection — spectrometer verification of nickel content (8.0–10.5%), tensile strength testing, and surface finish grading — before entering production. This material traceability is why our shakers pass FDA, LFGB, and SGS testing without exception.

Production Process

Every cocktail shaker moves through seven controlled stages:

  1. Deep Drawing — Hydraulic presses form the shaker body from a single stainless steel disc, creating a seamless, leak-proof shell with no welded joints that could fail under repeated use.
  2. Trimming & Edge Rolling — The rim is precision-trimmed and rolled to create a smooth, burr-free edge. For cobbler shakers, the cap rim and built-in strainer holes are punched and deburred in the same station.
  3. Polishing — Three-stage polishing: rough grinding removes drawing marks, medium polishing creates uniform surface texture, and mirror finishing achieves the bright, fingerprint-resistant surface that bartenders expect. For brushed/matte finishes, we apply controlled abrasive blasting after polishing.
  4. Assembly & Fit Testing — Each shaker’s cap, strainer, and body are assembled and tested for fit tolerance. Caps must seat with consistent friction — too loose and they leak during shaking, too tight and they jam during service. Our spec: 2.5–3.5 N of force to remove the cap.
  5. Leak Testing — 100% of shakers undergo water-fill leak testing: filled to 80% capacity, sealed, and shaken mechanically for 15 seconds. Any moisture at the seal = rejection. For insulated double-wall models, vacuum integrity is verified via thermal imaging.
  6. Logo & Branding — Laser engraving stations apply customer logos with 0.1mm precision. Silk screen, embossing, and PVD color coating lines run in parallel for multi-process orders.
  7. Final QC & Packaging — Each unit passes visual inspection under 1000-lux lighting. Approved units are individually polybagged, then packed into white boxes, color boxes, or custom retail packaging per order specification.

Types of Cocktail Shakers We Manufacture

Every bar has different needs. We produce all major shaker types to match your market:

3-Piece Cobbler Shaker

The most common shaker worldwide. Features a built-in strainer in the cap and a separate top lid — perfect for beginners and high-volume bars where speed matters. Available in capacities from 250ml to 1800ml.

→ Shop: 1800ml Large Cobbler Shaker | 550ml Standard Cobbler | 350ml Cobbler | 250ml Mini Cobbler

2-Piece Boston Shaker

Preferred by professional bartenders for its speed and simplicity. A weighted mixing tin paired with a slightly smaller glass or tin. No strainer to clog, no cap to jam — just a clean seal and fast separation with a palm strike.

→ Shop: Boston Shaker Set | Boston Shaker with Mixing Glass

Tin-in-Tin (Weighted Boston)

Both pieces are stainless steel — lighter than glass-on-tin, unbreakable, and preferred in high-volume nightclubs and competition settings. Creates a tighter seal than glass-on-tin and chills faster.

→ Shop: Tin-in-Tin Shaker 800ml

French (Parisian) Shaker

A two-piece design that bridges cobbler and Boston styles. The cap fits over the tin like a Boston shaker but includes a curved top for a more elegant pour. Popular in European and upscale bars.

→ Shop: Brushed French Shaker 660ml

Double-Wall Insulated Shaker

Vacuum-insulated stainless steel keeps drinks colder for 40% longer and eliminates exterior condensation. Ideal for outdoor bars, poolside service, and bartenders who shake dozens of drinks per shift.

→ Shop: Insulated Martini Shaker 500ml

Specialty & Novelty Shakers

Glass Shakers

Crystal-clear glass construction showcases the cocktail inside. Ideal for home consumers, gift sets, and bars that prioritize visual presentation.

→ Shop: 3-Piece Glass Shaker Set | 14oz Glass Shaker with Strainer | Shaker Glass with Recipes 450ml

LARBO’s recommendation for most B2B buyers: 304 stainless steel offers the best combination of durability, hygiene, cost-efficiency, and production scalability. We stock 304-grade coils in bulk, enabling competitive pricing across all order volumes. Copper and glass options are available as custom OEM projects — contact us with your specifications.

OEM/ODM Customization Process

Bring your cocktail shaker idea to life in five steps:

Step 1: Design & Specification

You provide your concept — a sketch, reference photo, 3D file (STEP/IGES), or detailed written specification. Our engineering team reviews feasibility and provides feedback within 2 business days. For fully custom shapes, we create 3D renderings for your approval before proceeding.

Step 2: Sampling

We produce 2–5 pre-production samples matching your specifications. Stock design samples ship in 2–3 days (free, you cover shipping). Custom design samples require 10–15 days (tooling cost applies, fully deductible from your production order). Sample approval is your gateway to production — we do not proceed until you sign off.

Step 3: Production

Once samples are approved, we schedule your production slot. Lead time is 20–40 days depending on order volume, customization complexity, and seasonal demand. You receive weekly production updates with photos of your batch on the line.

Step 4: Quality Control

Every unit undergoes our standard 7-stage QC process (see Factory & Capabilities above). For large orders, we welcome third-party inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV) at our facility before shipment — coordinated at your request.

Step 5: Shipping & Logistics

We ship FOB Ningbo/Shanghai. We work with your nominated forwarder or recommend trusted freight partners. Standard documentation includes commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and certificate of origin. FDA/LFGB testing certificates provided upon request at no extra charge.
